Connecticut's bats are getting ready to hibernate, and you can get a peek at them inside Old New-Gate Prison for Bat Appreciation Day – Hartford Courant

The Connecticut DEEP and DECD are holding their sixth annual Bat Appreciation Day on Sept. 10 at New Old-Gate Prison and Copper Mines in East Granby. The historic site is a favorite hibernation site for bats in the area.
