Hay Festival drops sponsor over alleged links to fossil fuel and Israeli defence industries

The festival suspended its sponsorship with investment management firm Baillie Gifford after figures including Nish Kumar, Charlotte Church and Labour MP Dawn Butler pulled out of the event.
