A BORDERS man involved in a series of disturbances has been ordered to pay £350 in compensation at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
John Wharton, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the O'Connell Medical centre in Hawick on August 26 last year.
He also admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at his Oliver Crescent home on October 20 by shouting and swearing in several telephone calls to staff at Scottish Borders Council and also the Scottish Police Service.
Wharton also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the Scottish Borders Council offices in High Street, Hawick, on October 28, and also abusive behaviour towards a named woman.
