A BORDERS man has been placed on supervision for 18 months after clashing in the street with someone he had been ordered by a court to stay away from.
Stuart Moffett, 29, of Noble Place, Hawick, pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to charges of threatening or abusive behaviour and breaching a court order.
Procurator fiscal Fraser Matheson said that on August 23 at around 1pm in the Gala Water Retail Park, Galashiels, Moffett walked past a man he was banned from contacting who was in the company of his mother.
He said that Moffett told the man he was going to kill him.
