HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Colt Brennan, the record-setting quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist who led the University of Hawaii football team to unprecedented heights during his time with the Warriors, has died at 37 years old.
Brennan died early Tuesday morning at a California hospital following a drug overdose.
Brennanâs father, Terry, told Hawaii News Now that his son had ingested something laced with fentanyl and never regained consciousness. Colt Brennan had earlier been in a rehabilitation facility.
