(WNFL) â First, there was this news.
The NBA G League announced today that 18 teams, including 17 NBA G League teams and G League Ignite, will take to the court in February at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla. The top eight teams will advance to a single-elimination playoff.
But it wasnât too long after that that it was announced that the Herd which plays in Oshkosh at the Menominee Nation Arena will not be fielding a team.
Wisconsin Herd General Manager Dave Dean said in a statment, âAt this time we are not participating in the G Leagueâs modified season. We commend the league for providing this opportunity while keeping health and safety as a top priority. This was a difficult decision for us, but it was made in the best interest of the Herd and the Bucks. We remain deeply committed to Oshkosh, Menominee Nation Arena and our great fans.â
