LAKEVILLE — It’s a toss-up on which is spookier — a haunted house attraction set in the woods, or an abandoned haunted house attraction set in the woods.
The Lakeville Haunted House at Ted Williams Camp off Precinct Street closed in 2019 after 27 years and has been left to fall into disrepair at the hands of nature and trespassers.
Families came from miles around to get the bejeebers scared out of them at the haunted house attraction every Halloween. Creepy clowns, ghoulish ghosts, buzzing chainsaws, spatters of fake blood and screams — oh the screams — stalked visitors as they walked cautiously through the outdoor frightening maze set in the dark woods.
