Hathaway killed ATV crash Sunday

BETHEL TOWNSHIP — Long time Bethel Township trustee and farmer Rod Hathaway, 83, died following a Sunday morning four-wheeler crash on Gilead Lake Road. 
    Hathaway was headed north on Gilead Lake Road just south of Schmidt Road when his enclosed four wheeled 2020 Polaris Ranger cross over the center line and off the road on the west side. It went through the ditch and into a grove of small trees where it turned on its side as it hit a tree. Hathaway was thrown from the ATV. 
    The Bronson Fire Department was called just after 10 a.m. and responded with LifeCare and Branch County Sheriff deputies. Emergency personnel administered CPR at the scene.
