Hatch, the Canadian-based global engineering firm, is creating a centre of excellence for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) in Winnipeg.
Hatch, the Canadian-based global engineering firm, is creating a centre of excellence for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) in Winnipeg.
The company’s Winnipeg office is already close to 80 people and company officials say creating a centre of excellence will increase the staff count.
"We see huge potential for this enterprise," said Dan Kell, Hatch’s global lead on HVDC and FACTS projects. "It will grow as much as the industry lets us."
