West Coast champion Peter Sumich believes North Melbourne extractor Ben Cunnington should have his salary docked for having chosen to remain in Victoria as the team heads interstate.
The 30-year-old will stay in Melbourne, citing family reasons, as the Roos prepare to spend as many as three weeks on the road in response to an outbreak of coronavirus in Victoria.
“What’s his job? Come on,” Sumich asserted on
AFL Nation on Thursday night.
“Deduct him. If he is on six or seven hundred (thousand), work that out over 20 games and deduct it off his pay.”
