A DOG and a car used by hare coursers were seized yesterday in the Cotswolds.
Gloucestershire police's rural crime team said a new home would be found for the dog, and that the car would be crushed.
A post on their Twitter page read: "Another hare coursing vehicle and dog seized yesterday in the Cotswolds.
"The dog is off to find a new home and the car will be a beautiful drinks can soon."
Hare coursing is a bloodsport where dogs are used to chase, catch and kill hares.
It is illegal in the UK under the Hunting Act 2004, which makes it an offence to hunt wild mammals with dogs. Anyone convicted of the offence can receive a fine of up to £5,000.
