Governor Kay Ivey recently awarded $2 million in grants to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA). The Department said that it will be dispensing the new funds to various areas of the state to help build, restore, or improve trails at several locations throughout Alabama. The new funding was made possible by the Federal Highway Administration’s Recreational Trails Program.
