BARROW resident Paul Griffiths has penned a letter to people in Roosecote.
Mr Griffiths stood in the Roosecote by-election this month, but was unsuccessful in his bid to be a councillor.
In his letter to residents Mr Griffiths wrote: "I would like to thank the residents of Roosecote who offered me their support in the recent by-election.
"As a Labour member I was honoured to have been selected, by our local party, as a candidate for the role of Barrow Borough Councillor, to represent a ward I have proudly lived in for over 50 years.
"Covid obviously played a part in our campaign approach and the local Labour party responsibly decided not to knock on residents’ doors to explain our policies, so unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to discuss my thoughts and ideas for our area with you and more importantly, I missed out on listening to your concerns and find out what you would like to see improved.
