There have been instances where a few guides who were drunk were creating trouble at the temple sites. Recently, a woman lodged a complaint with the tourism department alleging that when she was in Hampi, she was approached by a person claiming to be a guide. However, after a while, he started misbehaving and even manhandled her. She also alleged that even the tourism department office failed to help her and then a police complaint was lodged.
