Half of KZN's flood deaths could have been avoided

If the population of KwaZulu-Natal had been warned a day or two earlier in April that huge floods were coming, half of the more than 350 people who died could still be with their loved ones today, says Dewald van Niekerk of North-West University, who is also head of the African Centre for Disaster Studies.
