According to a recent survey, two-thirds of us want to get more organized after the pandemic. We’re desperate to find room for everything in our homes. It seems a lot of online shopping has things piling up. So I called a Winnipeg expert for some advice. Sara Verwymeren is the owner of Three Pines Organizing. She says her business is booming. When COVID-19 hit and I started working from home, I thought I’d find some extra time to get a few messes cleaned up but in almost 16 months, I’ve done none of it. And Sara says I’m not alone. Sara’s phone usually rings when people have reached their limit and they’re ready to buy a bigger home just to house all their stuff. She says no matter how big your home is, you’ll always fill it. She believes you’re better off getting rid of stuff while you’re living small so you can maximize your space. She has a great rule when trying to get organized. In one, out three. In other words, for every new item you bring into your home, be prepared to get rid of three existing ones. Yikes! I’m starting to panic just writing that. And before you buy something new, figure out where it’s going to go. If you can’t picture it looking great somewhere, don’t buy it. Good luck getting more organized. Or maybe just call Sara at Three Pines at 844-284-3987…
