On Monday, July 19, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., Cranston Councilwoman Aniece Germain and Providence Councilor Nirva LaFortune, in collaboration with the Hope and Change for Haiti- HnC, the Haitian American Partnership for Positive Action HAPPA-RI along with the support of the City of Cranston will hold a Peace Memorial Vigil to honor the life of President Jovenel Moïse who was assassinated on July 7, 2021, at his private residence in Haiti.
“It is critical that we, as a community, need to come together in support of our fellows who are mourning the loss of so many lives. In this time of darkness and struggles we must recommit ourselves to condemn this barbaric assassination of the president and to seek justice and reconciliation” said Germain.
