A man from New Brighton who grew up dreaming of being a hairdresser has been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Hair and Beauty Awards 2022.
Adam Higginson, 29, began hairdressing at the age of 26 after he quit his supervisor role in supermarket Asda to pursue his dream career.
From growing up watching makeover shows to begging to style his mum’s hair Adam says he knew he wanted to be a hairdresser and transform women to make them feel confident.
However, after a difficult childhood faced with bullying, Adam’s confidence in following his passion was knocked down.
Adam faced bullying throughout his childhood which knocked his confidence
