Haine on subcircuit challenge: Litigation resulted in important clarification for subsequent retention elections

While the Illinois Supreme Court has decided not to review a challenge to the subcircuit law that upended judicial elections in Madison County, State's Attorney Tom Haine said the county still won some significant victories over the course of the near-year long battle.
