Windows were shattered in vehicles and homes, and at least one injury was reported late Wednesday when large hail and powerful winds battered Norman and surrounding areas, officials said.
Spotters reported hailstones as large as baseballs slammed the city, leaving glass and damaged roofs in their wake.
Bryan Stambeck, of Sterling Property Management, said he'd been "inundated" with calls Thursday morning. Sterling has 220 houses in parts of town hit by the storm.
"We're seeing just a lot of broken windows," Stambeck said. Assessment of roof damage was just beginning; extent of the damage wasn't clear yet, he said.
