The units offer Covid-19 tests to those who have no symptoms of the virus.
As nearly one in three people who have Covid-19 don’t show any of the usual symptoms, it’s possible for people to be passing the virus on to loved ones and people in the community.
By getting tested – even if someone feels fine and has received vaccination – they can find out if they are positive and take immediate action to stop the spread of the virus to others by self-isolating.
A fixed testing centre, located at the former Stoneyhill Community Centre in Musselburgh, continues to operate from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11am to 6pm. The facility is open to everyone from East Lothian as long as they don’t have symptoms.
