Habiganj forest department rescues fishing cat, fishing eagle

Officials of Habiganj forest department rescued a fishing cat and a fishing eagle last night.
They will be released at Satchhari National Park after necessary treatment, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting the forest officials.
Md Emran Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baniachang Police Station of Habiganj, said a local farmer caught the fishing cat as it used to hunt ducks from his farm often.
On information, forest officer Rehan Mahmud rescued the fishing cat from the farmer.
The forest officials also rescued an injured fishing eagle after locals found it in Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria, said Forest Officer of Habiganj forest department Md Abu Motaleb.
