THE baby care unit at Great Western Hospital has got a shiny new pushchair thanks to a nurse’s thoughtful actions.
Staff nurse for the neonatal unit Leanne Kent requested it for the GWH’s special care baby unit as the one the team uses is worn and uncomfortable.
Leanne said: “We have one that’s about 20 years old but it does the job and gets babies from A to B. But we had to put one of our mattresses on it because it’s not the nicest to be in.”
Leanne approached high street store Mamas & Papas as it had donated a previous pram. And the firm was more than happy to help, with store manager Lauren Palmer personally donating a bouncy chair.
