A gunman who opened fire on first responders tending to a medical emergency in Antioch on Saturday night, injuring a firefighter and a medic, was arrested following a pursuit that ended in Richmond and was later found to be a suspect in a homicide in Discovery Bay, police said.
Following the arrest of 26-year-old Darryon Williams of Stockton, Antioch police conducted a welfare check on a home in Discovery Bay and found 64-year-old Michael Iliff inside with fatal gunshot wounds. Williams is the suspect in the homicide, and authorities are also trying to find Williams’ four-year-old son and the mother of the child, 31-year-old Kimberly Meeks of Discovery Bay, who has links to the Stockton-Sacramento area.
