Four men have been handed life sentences for the murder of Stephen Maguire this morning.
The 27-year-old was shot twice at around 11.30pm on Guildford Road, Birkdale, on March 16 when a gang raided his partner’s home and removed three motorbikes.
Four men denied murder and other offences, leading to 15-day trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
Patrick Moogan, 35, of Willow Way, Croxteth; Karl Corson, 28, of Columbine Close, Melling; Jack Higgins, 22, of Sedgemoor Road, Norris Green; and Ryan Smith, 21, of Colquitt Street, Liverpool city centre were found guilty of murder, two counts of kidnap, robbery and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
