The Eugene Police Department should not be confused with the departments in Minneapolis, Ferguson, Oakland, New York or Chicago. 
We have a department that needs constant monitoring and oversight, but is ahead of most departments in the country in terms of every reform we might want. But it is important to study what it does, not make demands based on the situation in some other city, bad as these may be.
