Guan Eng sidelined Penang when he was finance minister, not the time to play sympathy card, says Penang MCA chairman

GEORGE TOWN: It was former finance minister Lim Guan Eng who sidelined Penang and he should not feign ignorance, says Datuk Tan Teik Cheng.
The MCA vice-president urged Lim not to feign ignorance to rile public emotions by playing the victim over federal funds for Penang.
“Having sidelined Penang when he was finance minister, Lim now has the audacity to play the sympathy card by playing victim regarding funds for Penang.
“The Covid-19 outbreak has brought many challenges to the Malaysian economy.
“Therefore, the Federal Government has no choice but to temporarily shelve or postpone some infrastructure projects.
“Leveraging on this scenario, former Penang chief minister Lim stooped to politicise the decision and accused Putrajaya of 'political vengeance'.
