William Wallace tree, Holy Family Church, Port Glasgow..
A GROUP researching the famous 'Wallace Tree' in Port Glasgow are asking people who had pictures of memorable moments taken at its location to get in touch.
Cha Halliday is helping to fundraise for a monument to William Wallace at the site - within the grounds of Holy Family Church - where the great oak tree stood until a storm blew it down in 1995.
He leads a group of local enthusiasts who set out in 2014 to find the last-remaining piece of the tree, which Scottish icon Wallace is said to have been chained to following his capture by the English in 1305.
