SANDWICH — A group of residents in the Town Neck neighborhood has banded together to question the legality of the soon-to-open Tree House Brewery taproom.
“My clients are not opposed to Tree House,” said Daniel J. Bailey III, who is representing four households in the area. “What they are opposed and appalled by is that the town has not required Tree House Brewery to comply with the legal requirements.”
Bailey filed an appeal to the Massachusetts Building Code Appeals Board arguing that Tree House Brewery was unlawfully given permission to do extensive repairs on the former restaurant without first bringing it up to federal flood zone regulations.
