MANGALURU: With Covid-19 cases rising rapidly and with hospitals overwhelmed, a group of youths have launched a help centre that offers free teleconsultation services on various aspects related to the pandemic.
The aim of Akanksha Help Centre is to offer holistic service, ensure mental peace for the people in rural areas, and to help fight the pandemic.
Akanksha has been helping underprivileged students since 2012. They conduct activities to promote science in rural government high schools. In 2014, Akanksha went on to become Akanksha Charitable Trust (ACT). Last year, amid the pandemic crisis, they launched ImpACT 30, to train undergraduates in skill development, and have conducted more than 200 online training programmes in nine districts.
