A civil society group under the aegis of the Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) has expressed its worries over the readiness of Nigeria's electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deliver credible, free and fair elections in 2023. The group in a statement by its Chairman, Auwal Ibrahim Musa, on Wednesday pointed out that INEC's position on the outcome of the Yobe North Senatorial Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a deliberate violation of the provisions of the Electoral Act.
