ROME, N.Y. – Griffiss International Airport is one of five airports awarded federal relief funding to help recover from economic losses sustained throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The airport was awarded $267,300 to help support rehabilitation projects and enhance safety practices.
Reviving travel and tourism will help many areas recover economically from the pandemic, and this money aims to help airports that have lost substantial revenue over the past year.
