A GREENOCK ship repair specialist awarded a new multi-million pound public contract days ago is now under fire for bringing in migrant workers during the pandemic.
Dales Marine bosses face questions from the authorities after claims they drafted in around 40 eastern European workers at their base in the Garvel Dry Dock.
The company's personnel practices are under the microscope at a time when Inverclyde is in lockdown and the Covid-19 infection rate is the worst in the country.
It follows similar concerns about operations at state-owned Ferguson Marine, which led to 13 eastern European workers being ordered to self-isolate on Saturday after a breach of social distancing rules emerged.
