Emergency services rescued a man on Thursday morning after his snowmachine fell through the ice on McCharles Lake in Naughton.
Greater Sudbury Fire Services, with the assistance of the Greater Sudbury Police and Sudbury-Manitoulin EMS, received a call about the incident at around 8:10 a.m.

Man rescued after machine falls through the ice on McCharles Lake Back to video
Water rescue crews from the Long Lake and Minnow Lake fire stations were immediately dispatched, and they arrived on the scene within about 15 minutes.
“The individual had been in the water for an undetermined amount of time prior to us receiving the call. I estimate that after we got him out, he had been in the water for about half an hour,” said Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell.
