Greater Hartford and CT NAACP disappointed in judge's ruling ending 50-year-old Hartford police consent decree

Greater Hartford Branch NAACP President Corrie Betts said he is deeply disappointed with the decision to dissolve the consent decree between the city and the U.S. Department of Justice, as it was put in place to address issues of racial profiling and other civil rights violations by the Hartford Police Department.
