An Iowa woman learned she has stage 4 brain cancer again. "The depression hits that I have to go through this all over again and it really kind of sucks," said Terri Larson. Nearly four years ago she had a seizure. Then Larson got the heartbreaking news. "On Oct. 9, they performed the neurosurgery anaplastic astrocytoma stage 4 brain tumor," Larson said. She recovered back then. But a week after everyone celebrated 2021, she said she learned the dime-size tumor was back. She's only 50 years old. "It's right in the right front lobe of the brain which has the tendencies to control the emotion," Larson said. She said her doctors sat her down and discussed options. "For 25 minutes he talked about pretty much me dying," Larson said. Because there are risks. "All of the sudden I started thinking about my kids and my grandkids I want to see them grow up. My youngest granddaughter is 7 years old," Larson said. But the one thing about Terri Larson is she fights back. She went forward with surgery. "I don't believe in ever just laying down and saying I'm going to give up because there's always going to be something out there that triggers you to say it's worth it," Larson said.Although the tumor was threatening her life she said she believes as long as you stay positive in a negative situation, you'll win. Larson's surgery was last week and she is now recovering.
