Govt opens bids to sell majority stake in Shipping Corp of India 
New Delhi: The government on Tuesday invited bids to sell its 63.75% stake in Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) to a private investor. Note that the key asset sale was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement on Tuesday, the government said the deadline for submitting initial bids would be February 13.
Domestic, global players including some global funds have expressed interest for the Shipping Corporation of India. ET Now learned earlier that domestic companies like Essar Shipping, GE Shipping, Adani Group, Vedanta may participate in the bidding process.
