The Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) has introduced a curriculum for herbalists.
The curriculum was jointly developed by the National Drug Authority (NDA), the Natural Chemotherapeutic Research Institute (NCRI) and DIT.
Speaking at its launch in Kampala on Friday, Mr Patrick Byakatonda, the acting director of DIT, said the curriculum will help herbalists to acquire the title of ‘doctor’ after being assessed by DIT in their respective categories.
“Since we have just introduced this programme we have produced only Phase One, which starts from level one to level three,” he said.
