Gov. Ned Lamont seeking to help women during COVID-19 recession with employment, child care proposals

With women disproportionately impacted by the COVID recession, Gov. Lamont unveiled a package of proposals Tuesday to help them in employment and child care. Women’s participation in the workforce is at a 30-year low as jobs in retail, restaurants, social services, and hotels have been lost due to COVID as the state and nation still suffer from high unemployment.
