GOP in Utah county moves to censure Romney, despite state party's vote against it

The Republican Party in a Utah county is moving forward with censuring Sen. Mitt Romney over his vote to impeach former President Donald Trump, defying a decision by the state's GOP to nix such a measure.
On Saturday, Weber County voted 116-97 to censure the Utah Republican, according to a report by the
Salt Lake Tribune.
"The Weber County Republican Convention censures Mitt Romney for his votes to convict President Trump in two U.S. Senate impeachment trials which denied the President due process, allowed falsified evidence, did not provide adequate time for an investigation, and did not follow the U.S. Constitution which states a President may only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors," the county resolution read.
