A group of Good Samaritans gave an assist to New York State Police troopers in Northern Westchester to stop a man who was allegedly abusing a person with special needs.
New York State Police troopers were dispatched to the Cortlandt Town Center at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, where there were reports of a man striking another man with special needs inside a van.
The investigation into the allegations determined that 64-year-old Jean Donatien, of Peekskill, an employee of Opengate, slapped and knocked his victim’s head against the van window.
The victim was not injured in the incident.
