The chairman of a Wiltshire cricket club who is approaching his half century of involvement at the club has won a national grassroots cricket award.
Goatacre Cricket Club member John Wilkins has been named the latest winner of the national Voneus Village Cup Club Legend award thanks in large part to helping to cultivate a family atmosphere.
The award celebrates individuals who show dedication and passion to the sport and their communities.
John, who began his involvement with Goatacre CC at the age of 13 in 1973, has been an integral part of the club over the last 48 years both on and off the pitch.
