A heartwarming tale unfolded on a cold and blustery Wednesday night in Warren County, N.J., when a goat that had roamed the treacherous cliffs above Route 80 for months after escaping a local slaughterhouse auction was captured by the owner of Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery.
“She would climb up and down the treacherously steep rock cliffs and graze behind the guardrail as trucks and cars blew by her, within a couple feet,” Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery Owner Nicole Asher wrote on her non-profit’s Facebook page. “It was heart stopping to see her in such a dangerous area.”
