The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is proposing to add historical plaques to the downtown Glen Ellyn sidewalks as part of the streetscape plan.
The two historical plaque samples are installed at the corner of Crescent and Main, near M & Em's Children's Boutique. The plaques would contain information such as the date of the first store in Danby (an earlier name for Glen Ellyn). It would also have an identifying number. There would be a website to go to learn more about the different buildings that have been at each location through the years.
