Parkhead Library
A LEASE which would see Parkhead Library open in a new East End health centre is set to get council approval.
Glasgow City Council is planning to move the facility into a community hub on the site of the former Parkhead hospital.
The city’s Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is building the new hub, which will offer a range of services, including GPs, a pharmacy and mental health care.
A 60-year lease at a nominal £1 per year is expected to be agreed between the council and the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde trust for the library.
