Gilpin Township has a vacancy on its water and sewer authority board.
Supervisors chairman Charlie Stull confirmed Friday that Joel Knepshield stepped down from the municipal authority last month.
Stull said Knepshield cited work obligations in his resignation letter.
The township is looking to find a replacement as soon as possible, Stull said.
Members of the municipal authority board oversee all water and sewer projects in the township.
Board members are volunteers, but Township Secretary Sonya Mazak said they receive $35 for each monthly meeting they attend.
Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
Interested township residents are asked to email secretary@gilpintwp.com or mail a letter of interest to 589 State Route 66, Leechburg, PA 15656.
