Glenn Parker pulled out his rings — the big, shiny ones he kept but never really wanted.
Giants teammate Derek Engler was over for dinner, during the off week before the Giants faced the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV, 20 years ago. As Engler admired the AFC Championship rings Parker had won in four consecutive Super Bowl losses with the Buffalo Bills, Parker shared his fears about the upcoming trip to Tampa, Fla.
“I don’t want another one of these,” Parker told him.
