Giant tortoise thought to have died out more than a CENTURY ago is found on the Galápagos Islands

The Fernandina Island Galápagos giant tortoise is confirmed to be alive by scientists at Princeton University, USA. A female discovered in 2019 has the same genome as century-old specimen.
