Get the New Year off on the right foot with a First Hike
Remember April?
I know, I know it was a million years ago, and it was also the day before yesterday.
I'm not the first to mention that time has lost all meaning this year, but April was when the state park system was shut down to help flatten the curve.
And when those parks opened again, we all hit the trails, masks at the ready, grateful to get out of our backyards, absorb some nature and work off some pandemic pounds,
This year marks the 10th anniversary of First Hike, a New Year's Day tradition whereby we roll out of bed after a night of revelry and lace up our hiking boots and make the most of the first day of the year out among the trees.
