Germany is returning Nigeria's looted Benin Bronzes: why it's not nearly enough

When the British Empire invaded the Kingdom of Benin, in today’s Nigeria, in 1897, thousands of Benin Bronzes were looted, partially to pay for the costs of the military expedition, but now there are demands for their restitution with an intense interest in the question of colonial loot.
